  • What results can I expect?
You will likely see 5-12 pounds of weight loss and 5-8% reduction in body fat, in addition to having more energy, more strength, better posture and more self-confidence. If you are looking for a fitness program that produces RESULTS...then Urban Bootcamp is for you!!!
  • What is a typical day like at Urban Bootcamp?
Urban Bootcamp is designed as a total body workout so most days at camp include both cardio training and strength training. Cardio activities can include cardio circuit courses, obstacle courses, fitness drills, skipping, step-ups, and jogging or power walking, all of which have a high and low impact option. Resistance training will include dumbbell exercises, medicine ball training, resistance bands/tubes, calisthenics (push-ups, pull-ups, lunges, squats), and pilates. Everyday begins with a warm-up and ends with a cool-down stretch to prevent injury.
  • How is Urban Bootcamp different from other bootcamps I hear about?
Urban Bootcamp is a locally owned and operated by a fitness instructor who wants his clients to develop the same love for fitness he has. Fitness is not simply a business for Hassan, it is his passion. This dedication to the fitness industry means that Hassan is always learning about new developments in the industry and brings that knowledge to share at bootcamp. Most franchised bootcamp operators only have the single fitness certification required to obtain a license and insurance, Hassan is multi-certified with specializations in outdoor fitness.

At Urban Bootcamp, Hassan will push you, but also focuses on building up slowly and safely while providing adaptations for every exercise to ensure beginners and advanced bootcampers receive a safe and challenging workout...designed for their own level. Other bootcamps have their participants doing the same exercises despite varying fitness levels. At Urban Bootcamp we will not be yelling at you like drill sergeants and work you till you drop doing exercises designed for advanced athletes. This is an unsafe method of exercise for most people and will only result in injury and an unpleasant fitness experience. At Urban Bootcamp, Hassan will work with each client to ensure they get the most out of their bootcamp experience. We don't hire students to lead our bootcamps...you are paying for a multi-certified trainer who has outdoor fitness certification and that is what you will get!!!

At Urban Bootcamp, you will learn the correct technique for many exercises that you can do at home with simple equipment. Our goal is to see each of our clients reach their fitness goals and continue to exercise each day...whether it be at Urban Bootcamp, at home or at a gym.

Urban Bootcamp prides itself on providing the best bootcamp program in Coquitlam. See you at our next class!
  • Do I have to physically fit to participate?
NO!!!! Urban Bootcamp is designed to GET YOU INSHAPE. Our program is designed to accommodate all fitness levels and includes modified exercises for those who may not be able to fully participate in running and jumping exercises. Hassan will modify exercises to help those in need build up slowly, those with injuries and also those who need a more advanced workout. Urban Bootcamp clients range in age from 14 to 60 years of age with every level of physical ability, size and shape.

  • What do I need to bring to bootcamp?
You need to bring an exercise mat, hand weights (5-8 pounds) and water. You should dress appropriately for the weather and wear good supportive running shoes. You can purchase these items at Volume Fitness located at Lougheed and Westwood. We recommend the Running Room at Lougheed and Westwood if you are in need of good supportive running shoes.
  • Where is the bootcamp located?
Urban Bootcamp meets at Mundy Park in Coquitlam, British Columbia. Our meeting place is at 641 Hillcrest Street, just off Austin. This urban paradise boasts of 442 acres of park and playground!!! Our evening class will be held at Blue Mountain Park on King Albert Avenue in Coquitlam, just off Blue Mountain Road. Both locations offer shelter and light...great for wet west coast days!!
  • If I sign up for the 3 day a week option, can I come any 3 days?
Yes, you are paying for 12 days of bootcamp and we allow you the flexibility of using those 12 days any time you would like within the 4 week program. This is a great option for people who would like to come to bootcamp but may be going on holiday, you can finish your 12 days in just over 2 weeks without paying for days you don't use, or missing out on bootcamp!
  • Do I have to sign up for one time or can I come to different times?
We try to be as flexible as possible to ensure that you don't miss bootcamp. If you sign up for the morning class but miss that one, you can join us in the evening.
  • What is the size of the group?
At Urban Bootcamp, we believe in ensuring everyone sees maximum results and learns proper technique for the exercises we do...this can't be done in a class of 40!!! Most of our classes have between 10 and 20 people...this means you are sure to receive lots of individual attention and motivation.
  • Is bootcamp cancelled if there is bad weather?
NO... bootcamp takes place rain or shine, however, both our Mundy Park and Blue Mountain Park locations offer the benefit of a shelter if weather is very bad.
  • What are the benefits of training outdoors?
Working-out outdoors offers the benefit of an ever-changing environment and terrain which means you must adapt to varying inclines, declines, obstacles and climates. This results in better balance, strength, and coordination, as well an increased ability to burn calories and fat. Working-out outdoors enables you to increase your level of fitness faster than an indoor workout and best of all you will find yourself relaxed and rejuvenated.
  • What is your refund policy?
Cash refunds are not given. If you choose to miss a camp then credit will not be given...although we will do everything in our power to make sure you can make your class. In certain situations a credit for future camps can be applied if you are unable to complete the bootcamp you signed up for due to circumstances beyond your control.
  • Do you offer franchise opportunities?
Urban Bootcamp is a high quality bootcamp committed to maintaining industry leading standards. We do not want to compromise these standards in an effort to franchise to unqualified trainers. We would only consider franchising if someone was able to maintain the high level of quality that people expect from Urban Bootcamp. If you think you have what it takes, feel free to contact us.

  • Do you offer Personal Training if I don't want to participate in a bootcamp?
Hassan offers personal training services to clients who would like to train in the comfort of their own homes. He will bring all the equipment needed with him. The benefit of personal training is that a program is custom designed to meet YOUR individual training needs and goals. Personal training rates range from $45 - $65 per hour depending on the package you choose. If you want to share a personal trainer with a spouse or friend rates range from $60 - $90 per hour depending on the package you choose.
